Dr. McIntosh has a strong interest in community health and has worked extensively on a successful patient program to support lifestyle changes for improved management of chronic health conditions. She is known for her energy as a provider, capabilities as a teacher, "tell it like it is" style and amazing sense of humor.
In 2013, Dr. McIntosh received the Karron Memorial Award for Excellence in Geriatrics. In May of 2013, she served as the keynote speaker for the Alzheimer’s Association African American Health Symposium. Dr. McIntosh's community work also includes lectures at local community centers such as the Jewish Community Center, Curves fitness center and YMCA to educate attendees on how even within the scope of their cultural values and limited resources, they can adopt healthier lifestyle changes to improve medical health. She is dedicated to enhancing the education and health awareness of the community and strives to instill the motivation they need to achieve their goals in maintaining an optimal lifestyle.
Dr. McIntosh is a dedicated wife and mother. She and her husband, Brian have three children, Nakiri, Kaiya, and Malik. She loves spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking.
